     Driving to Lumut From Kuala Lumpur

Getting to Pangkor Island | About Pangkor Holiday Homes

From Kuala Lumpur we would advise you to use The North-South
Highway towards Ipoh. You will come across the following Exits.
Exit 116-Rawang, Exit 118-Bukit Beruntung, Exit 120-Lembah
Beringin, Exit 126-Slim River, Exit 128-Sungkai, Exit 130-Bidor.

Please take extra precaution upon reaching the Rawang Interchange or Exit 116. because our instruction starts here. Beyond this Exit 116 you will pass through all the Exits mentioned above until you come to Exit 130-Bidor. Please exit here. The toll charges from varies exits out of Kuala Lumpur to Bidor may cost you to a maximum of RM18.00 one
way.

After paying the toll charges, you will come to a set of traffic light, please turn right towards Bidor Town. A further 500 meters you will come to another set of traffic light and you will also find a Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) on your left just before the lights. Please set your tachometer reading on your Dash Board to 0 at this point.

At this lights turn right and travel a further 2 kilometer. You will come to a bridge and a junction to the left. There is also a Shell Petrol Station along this stretch. Turn left just after the bridge.

Drive along this route and head for Telok Intan. At your tachometer reading of 39.00 meters please take precaution as there is a junction to turn left. Turn left.

At your tachometer reading of 43.8 you will come to a set of traffic lights, go straight.At your tachometer reading of 44.0, turn left towards Pulau Pangkor.At your tachometer reading of 45.3 you will come to a set of traffic lights, go straight.

At your tachometer reading of 50.6, turn right towards Sitiawan/Pulau Pangkor. You will cross a tall bridge and drive straight on towards Sitiawan. Along this route you will enjoy the scenery of miles and miles of Rice Fields unlike the first part of the journey where you will pass through Rubber, Palm Oil Plantations, Malay Villages and Old Tine Mines.

( If you are familiar with the Klang-Teluk Intan Coastal Road this would be the junction where two routes meets )

At your tachometer reading of 95.5,97.8,and 99.2 you will come to sets of traffic lights, keep on straight. At this point you are almost at Sitiawan Town.

At your tachometer reading of 100.4 you will come to a set of traffic lights. Here you will find another Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) on your right. Turn left and this road will take you up to Lumut Town.

The journey from Kuala Lumpur will take approximately 1 hour and
from Bidor to Lumut will take approximately another 2 hours 15
minutes. A total journey of 3 hours 15 minutes.

With the rapid development around this area there now there may be new road opens from time to time. The route propose is the old traditional route.
